Orzel. Started long before getting the name.

In 2015, in another country and under a different name, an idea was born — inspired by the rise of parametric design, digital technology, and modern Italian aesthetics. Its essence was to give people the opportunity to enrich their spaces not just with well-designed objects, but with truly unique luminaires that reflect their personal taste, aesthetic, and character.

This led to the creation of “Mechanics of Light”, a project rooted in Scandinavian eco-minimalism. Handmade birch plywood lamps were crafted to bring a distinct atmosphere into carefully designed interiors.

In 2022, Mikhail, the project’s founder and creative mind, moved to Israel. Here, in a different climate and cultural context, and with new technological possibilities, the concept evolved. High humidity, production specifics, and the desire for greater flexibility in form and color led to a transition toward acrylic glass as the core material.

This is how Orzel was born.

After building a reliable production base, the first models in acrylic were introduced in 2024 — and the brand’s identity, philosophy, and visual language fully took shape.

Today, Orzel is a workshop for luminaires that fit seamlessly into your project — pieces that bring unique expression to interiors. We specialize in one-of-a-kind designs and enjoy working collaboratively to bring each client’s vision to light. We believe in co-creation, and we value the synergy that gives rise to meaningful stories and aesthetics.

We are especially inspired by working with interior designers and architects — their creativity and mastery lead to incredible expressions of light and form.

Let’s work together.
